Vitamin supplement for breeding birds
NEKTON-Breed-Star is a food supplement for birds that is specially developed to help with breeding. It contains all essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals and trace elements. In addition, NEKTON-Breed-Star has a generous amount of vitamin E and essential amino acids, in the ideal ratio to encourage and support breeding activity.
Vitamin E has several functions in animals, but its key function is to protect the cells from oxidative damage - it promotes the protection of cell membranes and the detoxification of pollutants occurring in cell metabolism. Finally, a lack of vitamin E particularly impairs muscle (white muscle disease) and heart functions. NEKTON-Breed-Star increases the often minimal amount of vitamin E in processed bird diets and covers the birds' needs with these nutrients, that are so important for the body.
During breeding, the amino acid requirements of birds increase. NEKTON-Breed-Star contains 18 amino acids, with a high proportion of arginine, lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan, which are very important for the bird during breeding. These amino acids are limited, which means they must be supplied in the diet. The addition of these amino acids primarily increases reproductive performance and also counteracts stress factors. They increase egg quality and including egg weight, fertility, odds of having a successful hatch, and can stimulate immune response and alleviate immune stress.
The vitamin content of NEKTON-Breed-Star is tailored to the special needs of birds' during breeding. NEKTON-Breed-Star can prevent damage to the birds' health that can result from a lack of these vital substances. These nutrients support proper metabolism and improve utilization of nutrients in food. This strengthens the bird's immune system and improves performance. It is ideal in combination with NEKTON Calcium plus for balanced breeding and to prevent calcium deficiency (egg breakage / egg quality).
Feeding Recommendation
1 g (= 1 level measuring spoon) NEKTON-Breed-Star to 250 ml (8.5oz) water or 100g (3.5oz) of soft food. Administration of NEKTON-Breed-Star should be started at least three weeks before breeding. As soon as the first egg is laid and the female sits on the eggs, no more NEKTON-Breed-Star is given. It could cause disruption in the incubation process due to a drive in the male that is too strong. After completion of the treatment continue with the daily vitamin supply of NEKTON-S and NEKTON-MSA.
Storage: NEKTON-Breed-Star should be stored dry and out of sunlight, between 15° and 25°C. DO NOT STORE IN THE FRIDGE!!! Because of this supplement‘s higher content of vitamin D and trace elements than in a complete feed, it may only be added to 2 % of a bird‘s daily ration.

NEKTON-Fly contains 13 vitamins, 6 trace elements, 2 amino acids as well as calcium and minerals. NEKTON-Biotic-Bird is a probiotic supplement for all species of birds. The contained probiotic bacteria support the enzymatic digestion of food in the craw and in the intestines of birds. Prebiotic ingredients such as fructans and mannan-oligosaccharides promote a natural and healthy composition of craw and intestinal flora. NEKTON-Biotic-Bird helps indigestion and accelerates regeneration after antibiotic treatments.
NEKTON-Biotic-Bird can also be given to prepare for stressful situations (e.g. transport and fairs) to counteract an excessive burden on the bird.
Also during the breeding NEKTON-Biotic-Bird can assist digestion of food and optimizes the absorption of nutrients. Further Information
Mixed pollen is diverse in its composition. It naturally contains, i.a. short-chain proteins, up to 20 amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, minerals and trace elements such as iron, copper, manganese, zinc and silicic acid (silica), in addition to phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulphur and calcium. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin B1, 2, 6 and 12, as well as biotin, vitamins A, D, E, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, antioxidant polyphenols such as flavonoids, natural sugars, enzymes, plant hormones and many other beneficial substances.
